Outfit Post

So, at last I got some photos done of the navy hat  I renovated and the coat I intend wearing it with. This coat is so heavy and warm, I got it last March at the end of winter the price below includes the postage! It was billed as black and red  but turned out to be navy and red - even better! My all-time favourite houndstooth check and even the sleeves aren't that much too long.

1960s Windsmoor coat - Ebay £13.38
Blue dress - made by me - another outfit post coming soon
Navy Leather Brogues  - Etsy £19.06
Navy Leather Gloves - Ebay £4.99
Hat - Ebay £3 rennovated by me.

November Chic

Grey and damp days have arrived in England so to cheer myself (and you, I hope) up
I scanned some ravishing images from magazines of Novembers past.

First is this stunning ensemble from 1946, all items available from Marshall & Snelgrove.

Vodka Martini

Made famous in the 1960s by James Bond - then played by Sean Connery. As with the regular gin martini the ratio of the ingredients varies according to taste.

1 Measure Noilly Pratt Vermouth
2 Measures Wyborowa Vodka
An Olive (or 2)

Shaken over ice in a cocktail shaker in true 'Bond style' or stirred in a mixing jug. Perfect while watching 'You Only Live Twice' or 'Dr No' (I don't recommend the books they are a bit dull)
