Best Shoes

Every now and then (er read once a week or so) I browse shoes at Amazon, not because I intend to buy any, or because they are the most fashionable either. Perhaps because I'm not overwhelmed by trashy pole dancing platforms and everyones impulse purchases from New Look and Primark that don't actually fit but were only £8.
Anyway, here are some faves from this week's trawl.

80s Classic

Viva 1959

This photo epitomises my idea of fifties style.
It says glamour, wealth, charm, good living. There is a feeling of casual elegance and relaxed feminine sophistication that was soon to disappear as the sixties progressed.

I love her smile, her confidence and the fact her boy is more interested in his drink than her. The Italian feel of the bar hints at a foreign pleasures and international design influences. Yet you can tell at a glance she is English.
